GWEB Participates in High School Mock Trial Competition

Steve Blomberg recently participated as a Presiding Trial Judge in the 2010-2011 Montgomery County High School Mock Trial Competition.  The competition is sponsored by the Maryland State Bar Association in conjunction with the Maryland Judicial Conference and the Citizenship Law Related Education Program.  It is an excellent program which parallels the real world in terms of proceedings, interpretations and decisions in the courtroom.  In addition, this year’s case explored the issues of teen driving, underage alcohol use and negligence, thus increasing awareness among teens of the legal fallout which occurs from unsafe driving.  GWEBLAW  is happy to be able to participate in this worthy program.   We also congratulate Richard Montgomery High School for winning the county championship and wish its team the best of luck in the statewide tournament.
