On Thursday, October 17, 2013, our firm will be holding a seminar on Maryland’s Same Sex Marriage Law and the recent Supreme Court decision on the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). This will be a very informative evening!
The seminar is free to all who would like to attend and will start at 7:00 pm at the new Hampton Inn located at 960 N. Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
In the wake of Maryland’s passage of the same-sex marriage law and the downfall of DOMA, there are now a significant number of rights, laws, regulations, and benefits that apply to or are available to same-sex married couples. Whether you are already married, are thinking about getting married, or just want to know more about marriage equality, there are a wealth of things that should be considered that may not previously have been on your radar screen. We will be covering such family law topics as: Marriage, adoption, child custody, and prenuptial agreements. We will also be going over inheritance rights, estate planning issues, property ownership, tax issues and government benefits. While the seminar is free to the public, we do ask that you RSVP as space is limited. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you!
