Maryland has strict criminal laws relating to an individual’s right to carry a handgun on their person, or in their car. In short you cannot do so. There are recognized exceptions to this hard and fast rule. For example you can carry a gun from the store in which it was purchased or repaired to your home; you can transport it to a private gun range; and you can transport it between your home and your business. However, in such cases the gun must be in unloaded and it must be kept in a closed case or in an enclosed holster.
