Meet Paul: GWEBLAW Summer Law Clerk

The firm would like to welcome Paul Havenstein to the staff as a summer law clerk. Paul joins us after completing his second year at the University of Maryland School of Law, where he serves as a Research Assistant to Professor Kami Simmons and on the Executive Board of the Criminal Law Association.

This past spring, Paul practiced as a Rule 16 Student-Attorney, representing two alleged murderers in Post-Conviction Appeals. He has previously interned for Williams & Connolly LLC and the State’s Attorney’s Office for Baltimore City, where he was awarded the Governor’s Citation for his public service work.

Paul grew up locally in Bethesda, Maryland and attended Walt Whitman High School where he was a varsity letterman in football and wrestling. In May 2012, he graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a degree in history.

We look forward to the experiences and contributions that Paul will bring to the firm.
