Playing for a Good Cause

On June 21, 2014, partner, Steven Blomberg, played in the 10th Annual Multiple Sclerosis Poker Tournament run by Adam Hartman. For ten years, Mr. Hartman, whose wife is afflicted with Multiple Sclerosis, has been putting on poker tournaments in his home as a fundraiser for the National MS Society. This year’s tournament raised over Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00).

It is always wonderful to see how the business community rallies around this event, and we should all be grateful to the Potomac Village Deli, La Prima Catering, and Mamma Lucia’s Restaurant for supplying dinner for the players, dealers and other volunteers.

As usual, it was a great event, and Steve was happy to report that Adam not only made it to the final table, but played heads up for the championship. Although he was not successful, Adam contributed his winnings to the cause, making him a winner on multiple levels.

Congratulations to all the players who participated, and Steve looks forward to returning for next year’s event.
