have both been honored by Law & Politics
Magazine as “Super Lawyers” in both Maryland
and Washington, D.C. These honors in both
regions were based on a multi-tiered review
process in each jurisdiction aimed at
finding attorneys who are viewed by their
colleagues to be the best in their fields.
The selection process starts with the
mailing of over 30,000 ballots to practicing
attorneys in each region requesting that the
recipients nominate the best attorneys that
they have personally seen in action.
Next, Law & Politics’ research department
examined the background and experience of
the candidates looking closely at peer
recognition and professional achievement
including verdicts and settlements,
transactions, experience, honors and awards,
and Pro bono and community service.
Then, attorneys who have the highest
ratings after being nominated and researched
are submitted for approval to a Blue Ribbon
Panel who work in the candidate’s practice
area. Only those attorneys who pass this
panel’s scrutiny make it to the final
selection process which narrows the field of
candidates to the top 5% of the total
lawyers in any jurisdiction.
Jerry Gimmel qualified as a “Super
Lawyer” in the field of Estate Planning
and Probate in both Maryland and the
District of Columbia based on his 40+ years
of practice in that field. He has helped
thousands of individuals and families put
their estates in order to meet the needs and
desires of his clients and helped those who
have lost loved ones through the probate
process.
Steve Blomberg was recognized in the
field of Business/Corporate Law in
both jurisdictions based on his 25+ years of
experience in creating new business
entities, representation of clients in
complicated business transactions, and his
business litigation background. Steve has
also assisted business clients in collecting
millions of dollars of unpaid bills, and
negotiated and/or reviewed hundreds of
commercial leases.
