Bernadette Sweeney is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland and graduated with honor from the University of Maryland School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Ms. Sweeney’s elder law services include estate planning, special needs and disability planning; public benefits eligibility, including Medicaid long-term care planning; estate and trust administration, including advising fiduciaries under powers of attorney, wills and trusts; and guardianship litigation. Ms. Sweeney also enjoys speaking to community groups on estate planning and legal issues related to long term care, Medicaid eligibility, surrogate decision-making issues for seniors and adults with disabilities, guardianship litigation and the probate process.
