Paul S. Lewis, Esq., is a partner with the firm and has practiced law in the Greater Washington Area for more than thirty years. During this time, he has successfully represented thousands of clients who have faced a wide variety of legal problems.

As an Assistant State’s Attorney for Montgomery County, Paul handled prosecutions at every level of the criminal justice system, including simple misdemeanors, violent street crimes, DUI arrests, traffic matters, and White Collar crimes. He now brings this experience to the defense of those citizens charged with such offenses, appearing regularly in courts throughout Maryland and in the District of Columbia.

Since 1984, Paul has focused on litigation, both in State and Federal Courts. His principal areas of emphasis include:

  • Auto Accident/Slip & Fall Litigation
  • Family Law
  • Commercial Litigation
  • Criminal/Traffic Defense (DUI, Driving While Revoked/ Suspended)

Paul’s approach to the practice of law is to aggressively represent his clientele, to maintain effective communication with all of his clients, and to offer his expertise at a fair and competitive price.

Over the years, Paul has contributed to the Montgomery County Bar Association by serving on its Executive Committee; the Fee Arbitration Committee; the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee, and other groups. He currently serves on the Peer Review Committee and the newly formed Bio-Hazard Emergency Task Force, which has been established to organize mechanisms to protect citizens in the event of catastrophic emergencies.

In recent years, Paul has served as an Officer, a Board Member, and General Counsel to Congregation Har Shalom in Potomac, Maryland. He coached youth baseball and soccer in the County. Paul is a dedicated golfer, at least when he can find the time to get on the course

A 1969 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, in Silver Spring, he went on to earn a B.A., with Distinction, from the University of Virginia, in 1973, and his J.D. from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1976. His interest in litigation started at Wake Forest where he competed in national advocacy competitions and where he served as a Moot Court Judge.

Paul is married to Barbara, a former Montgomery County ESOL teacher. Barbara is a native of Detroit, Michigan but after more than 35 years in the Washington D.C. has transferred her loyalty from her beloved Tigers to the Washington Nationals.

Paul and Barbara have two sons, who both graduated from Wootton High School and the University of Southern California.
