This Privacy Policy outlines the type of
information we may collect from our clients, what we do to protect
that information, and examples of when we may share this
information with third parties.
Information Collected -
In relation to the legal services provided by
our Firm, we collect a great deal of personal and business
information from our clients and third parties. Examples of this
type of information is as follows:
Financial information, including
tax returns, W-2 Forms, profit and loss statements, and bank
records.
Credit information.
Legal documents, including
contracts, wills, trusts, marital agreements, and leases.
Steps Taken to Protect Confidentiality -
Recognizing the importance of keeping certain
types of information provided by the client confidential, we take
the following steps to protect your personal and business
information:
Before communicating what we
consider to be confidential information to a third party, we
communicate with you about such disclosures.
After a case has become inactive
for more than 5 years, we offer to return the file to the
client or have the same destroyed.
After a case has been completed, we offer
to return the file to the client or have the same destroyed.
Files not returned to the client are destroyed after 3
years.
Types of Information Shared with Third Parties

At times, Gimmel,
Weiman, Ersek, Blomberg & Skok, P.A., and its employees are compelled to provide information about
you as part of the practice of law. These instances include the
following:
Supplying of information as part
of our representation of the client including, but not limited
to, due diligence in a business purchase or sale, informal
discovery consented to by the client, medical information in a
personal injury case, and employment related information in a
personal injury case.
In certain circumstances,
information including social security numbers and employee
identification numbers must be supplied to certain government
authorities.
Under no circumstance will
we sell or otherwise disclose our client list or any of your
personal information to any outside party for purposes of
marketing or solicitation.
